Artist's Description

"Colors of the Southwest" an original oil painting
by Janis Tafoya.  Many times the Southwest desert is
thought to have no color...There are many places in
this area that have a beauty that is spectacular and each
scene is unique....In this piece of artwork I have tried to

The Painted Desert is known for its brilliant and varied colors,
that not only include the more common red rock, but even shades of lavender.
Also there is an old dead cedar tree....I hope you enjoy this piece of
artwork.
